OUR MISSION

Doing good in our community through a dignified pantry—providing food and essentials to those in our local community.

Our Story

We are part of the Local Good Collective, a group of organizations in North Dallas committed to creating lasting good. Started by Chase Oaks Church in 2021, the collective includes programs, facilities, and spaces that help our community flourish and foster connection.

In 2023, we were informed about a pantry that was doing great work in Richardson but was unable to continue. After it closed, and in discussion with the City of Richardson, the North Texas Food Bank, and other local partners, the Local Good Pantry opened in November 2023.

Meet Tracy Parlin

Local Good Pantry Director

Since she was a teen, Local Good Pantry Director Tracy Parlin has been called to share God’s love in tangible ways that help people at their most vulnerable to feel seen, heard, and valued. She has served at Chase Oaks Church for nearly two decades, first with student ministry and then with local and global outreach. Tracy and her husband Phil have lived in Plano for over 35 years—but she still misses the lakes and natural beauty of her hometown in Arkansas. When she isn’t working, volunteering, or keeping up with her three children and two grandchildren, Tracy can be found in a hammock by the lake, enjoying a meal and alone time with God.
